The number of bundles you need depends on your head size, the length you're ordering, and the look you want. Here is the standard guide for a full install:

• 10"–14" lengths: 2–3 bundles typically covers a full head
• 16"–18" lengths: 3 bundles standard; use 3–4 for extra fullness
• 20"–22" lengths: 3–4 bundles; 4 for maximum volume
• 24"+ lengths: 4 bundles minimum; consider 4–5 for fullness at this length

Tip: If you're doing a leave-out for a middle or side part, budget an extra bundle. For a full wig or sew-in over a closure, 3 bundles is usually enough regardless of length.

Closures (4×4 or 5×5) are the most common choice. They cover the top of your head where you part — great for a natural look with less versatility. Best for: simple styles, protective styles, everyday wear.

Frontals (13×4) cover your entire hairline from ear to ear. They offer more styling versatility — you can part anywhere, wear a ponytail, and use more dramatic styles. Best for: frontal installs, lace wigs, high ponytails, unlimited parting.

The right length depends on your natural hair length, density, and the look you're going for:

• 10"–12": Adds length and volume without dramatic change. Great for a subtle refresh.
• 14"–16": The most versatile range. Falls to mid-back or bra strap on most. Works for everyday to special occasions.
• 18"–20": Long and glamorous. Falls to bra band or lower back. Requires proper maintenance to keep healthy-looking.
• 22"–24": Very long and dramatic. Requires more bundles for fullness and more care. Great for special events.
• 26"–28": Show-stopping length. Most bundles needed (4+). Real commitment to maintenance. Stunning for photos and events.

Wash your Remy bundles every 2–3 weeks depending on use. Over-washing can strip moisture; under-washing causes product buildup.

• Use sulfate-free shampoo — sulfates strip the hair's natural moisture and shorten lifespan
• Wash in a single direction — from roots to tips. Do not scrub back and forth
• Cool water only — hot water opens the cuticle and causes tangling
• Focus shampoo on the scalp and lengths; avoid the roots if installed
• Condition from mid-shaft to ends only

Tip: Detangle gently with a wide-tooth comb while the conditioner is in, starting from the ends and working up.

Remy Hair responds well to regular deep conditioning. Keep the moisture in and the shine vibrant.

• Deep condition weekly with a hydrating mask or conditioner
• Apply to mid-shaft to ends only — avoid the roots and scalp area
• Let sit for 20–30 minutes under a processing cap with low heat for best results
• Rinse with cool water to seal the cuticle and add shine
• Use a leave-in conditioner or lightweight oil after washing to maintain moisture

Remy Hair is heat-safe up to 400°F. Use heat tools responsibly to maintain quality over time.

• Always use a heat protectant spray before any heat styling
• Keep heat tools at 350°F–380°F for straightening and curling
• Avoid excessive heat — limit flat-iron use to 2–3 times per week
• Air dry when possible to reduce heat exposure
• Use a silk or satin scarf at night to preserve styles and reduce friction

Reminder: Pre-colored Remy Hair (27, 30, 4, etc.) is already processed. Bleaching or dyeing is not recommended — it will compromise quality and void the guarantee.

How you sleep and store your hair makes a major difference in how long it lasts.

• Wrap hair in a silk or satin scarf or use a satin pillowcase every night
• Never sleep with hair in tight styles — loosely braid or pineaple to reduce tension
• Store uninstalled bundles on a hanger or mannequin head to keep shape
• Keep bundles in the original packaging or a silk bag when traveling
• Do not store wet hair in a sealed bag — allow to air dry fully first

Proper storage between installations can extend the life of your Remy Hair by 6+ months.

Our Remy Hair comes pre-colored in 6 shades (27, 30, 4, 4/27, 1B, 2). We do not recommend bleaching or dyeing Remy Hair — the processing it has already undergone makes additional chemical treatment risky and may compromise quality, cause shedding, or void the guarantee.

Virgin Hair is completely unprocessed — never chemically treated, permed, or dyed. Cuticles are intact and running in one direction. It is the highest quality hair available, can be bleached to blonde, and lasts 2–3+ years. Higher price point reflects the quality.

Remy Hair is processed hair where the cuticles are aligned in one direction. It is pre-colored in 6 shades, more affordable than Virgin, and still offers excellent quality, shine, and movement. Lasts 1–2 years with proper care. Cannot be bleached but holds curls and straightening well.

Both are 100% human hair. Both are premium. Choose Virgin if you want unprocessed luxury and full color flexibility. Choose Remy if you want great quality at a more accessible price with pre-selected shades.
